Specializing in green planning and architecture, a key goal of RPM Architects is to produce environmentally responsible projects by making use of building materials that are energy and resource efficient. We at RPM Architects see ourselves as professional guides to the world of environmental building. Since 1976, we have worked both nationally and regionally on a large range of innovative projects using stone, rammed earth, straw bale, adobe, steel and Rastra Block. We are particularly known for our sensitive siting of projects and our ability to create total environments that address local climate and topographical conditions, including the path of the sun, prevailing wind direction, natural site drainage, privacy and views. Our resulting designs are safe, comfortable, aesthetically pleasing and have a positive effect on the people who live, work or play in these spaces. Principal architect Rob Mehl holds a Masters degree in Architecture and Environmental Design from Virginia Tech. We are a full-service architectural firm and are ready to give you the design guidance you are looking for as you set out on the adventure of building green. |
