throughout is comprised of 3 key components: Sacred Spaces, Sustainability,
and a respect for the Culture & History specific to each property.
SACRED SPACES Whether
it be a resort, spa, restaurant, or home... one should feel sacred
while inhabiting that space. By creating a place / space where one
feels sacred and at peace, the result is happier, more content individuals.
We are deeply affected by our surroundings on both an emotional and
a physical level, thus, we return to where we feel happy & safe.

SUSTAINABILITY Shannon Scott Design
is committed to the mission of sustainability while simultaneously
meeting our Client's project objectives. As creators of spaces and
environments, it is our responsibility as designers, to provide sustainable
design solutions which are both sensitive to the environment, and
create the lowest impact possible. In doing so, we are also creating
spaces which are healthier to inhabit and exist within. SSD specifies
and emphasizes environmentally sustainable products and materials
whenever possible. This includes using natural and recycled materials,
sustainably harvested woods, low-impact manufactured products, antiques,
and environmentally friendly finishes.
CULTURE & HISTORY It is important
to immerse oneself in the culture and history of each individual
space, allowing these factors to bring forth the answers to questions
regarding appropriate design. Capturing the essence of each project's
wealth of history, diversity, location, and overall spirit is the
goal of our firm.
SSD is a key member of the overall design team, facilitating the coordination
between the client, architect, contractor, and the entire team. Regardless
of the scope of the project, we focus on creating and implementing
a design that is innovative yet functional, on time and within budget.
